ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court has termed the high court decision regarding the Rapid Bus Transit (BRT) as null and void and ordered the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) and the Federal Investigation Agency F(IA) to stop investigation.

Earlier, the Peshawar High Court (PHC) had ordered an investigation on receiving a plea  regarding corruption in the BRT project.

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government had filed a petition challenging the PHC decision in the apex court.

Admitting the KP government’s petition, the SC termed the PHC decision as null and void.

Supreme Court judge Umar Ata Bundial remarked that there is a charge of spending more money than the BRT project cost.
