Bangladesh Premier League franchises Sylhet Royals and Comilla have signed Pakistani all-rounders Shahid Afridi and Shoaib Malik.
The tournament which is scheduled to begin from November 21 will feature star like Chirs Gayle, Kumar Sangakkara and others.
Barisal had already confirmed the inclusion of Chris Gayle, said BPL governing council’s member secretary Ismail Haider Mallick on Wednesday.
Dhaka Dynamites confirmed the inclusion of Sri Lanka’s Kumar Sangakkara while Pakistan all-rounder Shahid Afridi was roped in by Sylhet Royals. Afridi had previously played for Dhaka.
Apart from them, Afridi’s compatriot all-rounder Shoaib Malik will play for Comilla, while Sri Lanka’s Tillakaratne Dilshan will play for Chittagong and his countryman Thisara Perera for Rangpur Riders.
Many of them were paid fees higher than $70,000, the highest allowed price for a foreign cricketer in the competition.
