LAHORE: Bowling action review committee of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) will reassess off-spinner Bilal Asif’s action on Monday.
‘Bowling action of Asif is going to be tested on Oct 19,’ a Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) statement said on Thursday.
Sources said PCB’s priority was to conduct test from Indian city Chennai’s laboratory. International Cricket Council (ICC) will confirm the board about where the biomechanics test would be conducted.
Asif’s action was declared suspicious in third ODI match against Zimbabwe.
The 30-year old had made his international debut in the second game of the series, and took figures of 5 for 25 in the third ODI to help Pakistan win the series 2-1.
‘Bilal’s action has been reported after the third ODI and we are following the procedure with the ICC,’ said Pakistan Team Manager Intikhab Alam told an international website.
Asif is eligible to bowl in international cricket until the result of the test is out.
