President Mamnoon Hussain’s son escapes bomb attack in Hub

KARACHI:  At least three persons were killed while 15 people sustained injuries including five police officials following a bomb explosion that rocked nearby area of Jumma Khan hotel situated at Hub round about on Sunday night, police said.

Deputy Superintendent Police (SP) Abdul Rasheed said that the bomb explosion was an attempt to target Talat Mamnoon, son of Pakistani President Mamnoon Hussain, while terrorists carried out the blast via explosives planted on a motorcycle.

Reports said that Talat Mamnoon remained completely safe in the deadly attack.

Rescue teams rushed at the location immediately and shifted the victims to the Civil Hospital Hub. Till filling of the report at least three persons were killed and others 15 injured of whom two persons are stated to be in serious condition.
