KARACHI: Breaking his silence on the appointment of new Sindh Governor, Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Friday said that Justice (retd.) Saeed-uz-Zaman Siddiqui was appointed ‘without even a courtesy call to Ishratul Ibad and Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah’.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is trying to preserve his ‘badshahat’, tweeted Bilawal. The message was posted few hours after former chief justice of Pakistan Justice (retd.) Saeed-uz-Zaman Siddiqui took oath as Governor Sindh in Karachi.

The oath was administered by Chief Justice Sindh High Court Justice Syed Sajjad Ali Shah.

The decision to remove Ishratul Ibad from Sindh Governor’ s post and replace him with Saeed-uz-Zaman was taken during a meeting between Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and President Mamnoon Hussain on November 9.
