ISLAMABAD: Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, who is currently abroad, is likely to return to Pakistan on March 5 for participating in the Azad Jammu Kashmir (AJK) election campaign.

The prominent PPP’s AJK-chapter leaders will reach Karachi to receive the chairman and finalize schedule of his visit to AJK, the party sources told APP Wednesday.

Bilawal Bhutto would formally announce PPP’s official election campaign in a public meeting during his AJK visit, they added.

Earlier, Bilawal was scheduled to attend the death anniversary of former Federal Minister Shahbaz Bhatti on March 2, but he could not reach due to certain reasons, they said.

“Following the formal launch of election campaign, PPP stalwarts would hold public meetings in different cities of AJK,” the sources informed.

The sources hinted that President PPP Punjab Mian Manzoor Wattoo could be removed from his post due to poor performance in the province.

They said the PPP chairman was not happy over a resolution tabled in Punjab Assembly by Wattoo’s son regarding extension in service of army chief.
