LAHORE: The International Cricket Council (ICC) on Friday confirmed that the bowling action of Pakistan’s Bilal Asif had been found to be legal and permitted, and the player could continue bowling in international cricket.
At the assessment, it was revealed that the amount of elbow extension in all of Asif’s deliveries was well within the 15-degree level of tolerance permitted under the ICC regulations.
He was reported after the third ODI against Zimbabwe in Harare on Oct 5 and the independent assessment was performed at the Sri Ramachandra University testing centre in Chennai earlier this month.
