French superstar Karim Benzema has signed a contract extinction at Real Madrid keeping him at the Bernabeu until 2021.

Benzema, 29, has won 14 trophies since his £30million move to Los Blancos from Lyon in 2009.

The new package reportedly contains a release clause of €1billion, which equates to around £900million.

He has been linked with big-money moves to Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain in recent years, but insists it was not a difficult decision to stay put.

French sensation has scored 181 times for Real in 371 outings in all competitions, with his most prolific season coming in 2011-12 when he found the net on 32 occasions.

It is pertinent to mention here that, Isco and Dani Carvajal had already extended their contracts at Real Madrid.
