ISLAMABAD: The government on Saturday appointed Barrister Khalid Javed Khan as new Attorney General.
In this connection, a notification has been issued here.
“In exercise of powers conferred under Article 100(1) of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan 1973, the President is pleased to appoint Mr. Khalid Jawed Khan as Attorney General for Pakistan with the rank and status of Federal Minister with immediate effect,” the notification says.
On Thursday, Anwar Mansoor had tendered resignation from the office of Attorney General.
