KARACHI: Unknown men on Monday put up banners outside the Sindh High Court (SHC), calling for death to those opposed to “Quaid-e-Tehreek”.

Police swung into action after TV channels break the news regarding appearance of the banners which carried the slogan in Urdu–Jo Quaid Ka Ghaddar hai, Maut Ka Haqdar hai (He who is traitor to the leader, deserves death).

SSP South said three people were taken into custody from outside the SHC. He said the suspects were sitting in a car parked near the banners.

The banners apparently signed by ‘lovers’ of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement founder Altaf Hussain were removed by the police.

A banner was also found hanging near Karachi Regal Chowk with slogans against MQM leader Farooq Sattar and his Rabita Committee, the main decision making body of the party.
