KARACHI: A local court has again issued a non-bailable arrest warrant for suspect Mansoor in the Baldia factory fire case.

As per details, the court expressed anger at the absence of Baldia factory owners today at the hearing. The court also remarked that without obtaining immunity, the factory owners cannot excuse themselves from appearing in court.

The investigating officer for the Baldia factory fire case was also summoned by the court.

During the proceedings, the court said that police was aware as regards to who was involved in the burning down of the factory.

“In which context should the case be taken,?” remarked the court.

The investigating officer in the Baldia factory fire case was also present after being summoned by the court.

It is pertinent to mention here that, a clothes factory caught fire in Baldia town in 2012, which claimed the lives of as many as 258 workers. A Joint Investigation Team (JIT) provided its findings in a report on February 7 last year, in which they said a political party was involved in burning down the factory. It was claimed that owners of the factory had refused to pay extortion money, which had led to assailants committing the nefarious act.
