ISLAMABAD: Bahria Town is likely to build 5,000 apartments for the Naya Pakistan Housing Authority.
The federal government told this to the Supreme Court of Pakistan in the Bahria Town implementation case.
In this connection, the Naya Pakistan Housing Authority will sign a Memorandum of Understanding with the Bahria Town.
According a response submitted by the government to the apex court, 2,000 flats will be built in Islamabad while 3,000 in the port city.
Earlier in 2019, the apex court had accepted a Bahria Town offer of paying Rs460 billion for the Malir Development Authority’s land.
The real estate giant was directed to make the payment in 7 years. The apex court had ordered the company to pay Rs2.5 billion every month for four years while the remaining money in the next 3 years.
The real estate giant was directed to deposit the money in an account set up by the apex court.
