Bahrain King praises Bahraini-Pakistani relations

MANAMA:  His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa Monday received at the Safriya Palace Speaker of the National Assembly of Pakistan, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, and the associating delegation. The King praised the Bahraini-Pakistani relations highlighted by cooperation and mutual respect.

The Pakistani parliamentary delegation is visiting Bahrain at the invitation of the Council of Representatives.

Speaker Sadiq conveyed greetings of Pakistan’s President Memnon Hussein and Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, and to the Kingdom of Bahrain and its people further progress and prosperity under the wise royal leadership.

HM the King asked Pakistan’s Speaker to convey his regards to Pakistan’s President, Prime Minster and people, wishing them more advancement and well-being.

The King pointed out the role of the parliaments of the two countries in unifying stances to defend the Islamic causes in international forums.

The King talked about the parliamentary march in Bahrain, and took pride in the achievements and gains made since the launch of the parliamentary experience. He lauded Pakistan’s parliamentary march and its democratic achievements.

The  King welcomed Pakistan’s supportive stances towards Bahrain which embody the Islamic and fraternal ties between the two countries. He also commended its pivotal role in promoting Arab and Islamic causes and ties and its contribution to reinforcing the international efforts to maintain peace and stability.

He expressed appreciation of the Pakistani community’s contribution to the development and construction march witnessed by various areas in Bahrain.

He also reviewed the regional and international developments, as well as topics of joint interest.

Pakistan’s National Assembly Speaker expressed sincere appreciation of the King’s keenness on bolstering relations between the two Islamic states, chiefly at the legislative and parliamentary levels. He hailed the King’s statesmanship and wisdom that have led Bahrain to achieving its development goals, stressing his country’s readiness to enhance cooperation with Bahrain in the interest of both countries and their peoples.
