Pakistan’s opening batsman Babar Azam has become the quickest batsman in the history of T20I cricket to score 1000-runs.
He achieved this feat in a total of 26 innings during the third T20I against New Zealand when he reached score of 48 at Dubai international cricket stadium on Sunday, leaving behind India captain Virat Kohli — who achieved the same record in 27 innings. Aaron Finch of Australia had achieved this milestone in 29 innings.
Babar is also the top ranked batsman in T20I cricket.
