LAHORE: Skipper of Pakistan One-day cricket team Azhar Ali said that he felt ashamed when he led Pakistan for the first time and lost the series 3-0 against Bangladesh.
Azhar Ali said in an interview that Bangladesh took full advantage of their home crowd and came the better team than Pakistan.
He further said that he wanted to prove to his critics that he is eligible for playing One Day International (ODI) cricket which he did with his brilliant run with the bat in both series against Bangladesh and Zimbabwe.
Ali said that he didn’t know why he wasn’t considered for the World Cup which felt very disappointing.
He said that he is completely focused on upcoming series against Sri Lanka which will decide whether Pakistan qualify or not for the Champions trophy.
