LAHORE: Newly elected MNA and former speaker National Assembly Ayaz Sadiq on Saturday called on Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif.
According to reports, the prime minister congratulated Ayaz Sadiq for taking fresh mandate from the people of his constituency and said the PML-N has decided to renominate him as Speaker of the National Assembly in recognition of his contributions while holding the office.He said Sardar Ayaz Sadiq contributed a lot in strengthening democracy and strengthen the Parliament..
They also discussed the election for speaker of the National Assembly on Monday. The PML-N has nominated Ayaz Sadiq for speakership, who submitted his nomination papers.
