MELBOURNE: Teenage Melbourne Victory midfielder Sebastian Pasquali has agreed to join Dutch giants AFC Ajax, the A-League club said Monday.
Victory said they were yet to be formally advised by Ajax of the Pasquali signing but the youngster would not be part of the squad for Monday’s A-League game against Wellington Phoenix in Melbourne.
The precocious 16-year-old made an eye-catching senior debut for Victory in this year’s International Champions Cup against Italy’s Juventus, scoring the winning kick in what finished in a 4-3 penalty win.
