ISLAMABAD: Australian Foreign Minister Julie Bishop has announced 19 million dollars aid package for Pakistan.
Eight million dollars of the aid will be spent on restoration of infrastructure in Northwest, Southwest and flood affect areas. While about eight million dollars for trade initiative in collaboration with the World Bank.
Julie has announced the aid package in a meeting with Pakistan Foreign Minister Sartaj Aziz. Counter militancy, Afghanistan’s future and IS existence in the region were came under discussion in the meeting. Julie will meet with Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Chief of Army Staff Gen Raheel Sharif tomorrow. She came Pakistan on a two-day visit.
