SWAT: In a shocking development in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Swat district where Nobel laureate Malala Yousufzai was shot 10 years ago by Taliban, armed men attacked a school van in the scenic valley killing the driver and injuring two students Monday.

As per details, armed men opened fire on the school van in Swat’s Char Bagh which killed the driver and injured students, police said.

The police are investigating the incident.

Child rights activist Malala Yousufzai was attacked in Swat on October 09, 2012, while she was returning home from school.

She came to the limelight for challenging the Taliban’s oppressive approach towards girls’ education in her native town.

She was later shifted to the UK for further treatment and underwent multiple surgeries.

The activist was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2014 for her fight for the right of every child to receive an education.

She has also been conferred several awards for raising her voice for girls’ education across the world.
