KARACHI: An Anti-Terrorism Court on Wednesday remanded MQM’s prominent leader Qamar Mansoor in Rangers custody for 90 days.
According to details, Rangers personnel presented Mansoor along with another suspect in court where Rangers counsel said that Mansoor is accused of writing inflammatory speeches and the law enforcement agency wants to further investigate him.
On the other hand, the MQM leader’s lawyers argued that Mansoor is ill and wants freedom on bail for medical treatment.
After hearing the arguments from both sides, the court granted Rangers the remand of Qamar Mansoor for 90 days.
It must be remembered that Mansoor was taken into custody from MQM headquarters Nine Zero on July 17 while his transit remand was obtained from the court of a judicial magistrate on July 20.
