KARACHI: An Anti-Terrorism Court in Karachi on Saturday indicted the main accused in Hamza Ahmed murder case.
The O-level student, Hamza Ahmed was killed allegedly by Ammal Rehman, a security guard of Hamza’s fellow student Shoaib Naveed, son of a businessman, outside a restaurant in Karachi’s DHA Phase-II in April 2013.
The gruesome murder had sparked outcry from the people concerned, demanding harsh punishment for the culprits. Accused Shoaib Naveed and others pleaded not guilty.
The court summoned the witnesses in the case on next hearing and set the date for November 21.
Security guard Ammal Rehman was still at large, as the court had been constantly issuing non-bailable warrants of arrest against him.
