ISLAMABAD: Over 50,000 people tested positive for dengue virus and at least 250 died from the deadly disease across the country.

According to a local newspaper, over the past few weeks about 250 dengue patients had died in the country.

Islamabad and Rawalpindi are the worst-hit cities where over 25,000 people have tested positive for the mosquito-borne disease.

In the twin cities alone, at least 35 people had died from dengue.
