ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Water and power Khawaja Asif has apologized to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Shireen Mazari over dubbing her a ‘tractor-trolley’.
On Wednesday, Khawaja Asif has dubbed Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Shireen Mazari a ‘tractor-trolley’ and called her ‘aunty’ during the National Assembly session.
The minister today sent a letter to Speakers national Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, apologising from the PTI MNA over the comments.
In the letter, he wrote, “I am extremely feeling shameful over using such comment against respectable member of the assembly, I apologise to her.”
On which, PTI MNA Shireen Mazari said, she will not accept the written apology, as minister only targeted her in the speech.
‘I want Asif to come to the session and apologies in front of the members,” she added.
