MIRPUR: Sri Lanka set handsome target of 151 runs against Pakistan over loss of four wickets during the 10th match of the tournament here on Saturday.
Sri Lankan openers, Dinesh Chandimal and Tillakaratne Dilshan, exhibited outstanding performance to provide firm stand to their side by building 110 runs partnership. Chandimal’s individual score was 58 off 49 balls while Dilshan made unbeaten 75 runs off 56 balls.
Mohammad Irfan grabbed two wickets, Wahab Riaz and Shoaib Malik took one wicket each while in-form Mohammad Amir failed to grab any wicket.
Spinner Mohammad Nawaz became most expensive bowler for Pakistan who provided 38 runs in three overs with highest economy rate of 12.66 pc.
Earlier, Shahid Afridi-eleven decided to field first after winning toss against Sri Lanka in their last match of Asia Cup 2016 being played at Shere Bangla National Stadium, Mirpur.
Pakistan entered the ground with three changes as Anwar Ali, Mohammad Sami and Khurram Manzoor were replaced by Wahab Riaz, Mohammad Nawaz and Iftikhar Ahmed.
