Ashobaa cyclone 750 Km away from Karachi

KARACHI: The Pakistan Meteorological Department has said that Ashobaa Cyclone was 750 Kilometer away from Karachi in Arabian Sea. The cyclone is moving towards Northwards direction. Heavy rain is expected in the coastal areas of Sindh and Balochistan.

The Met department said that Cyclone Ashobhaa lie about 730 kilometres south of Karachi and is moving northwards at the speed of 15 km/hr. It said that it was now centred at Latitude 18.2 degrees North and Longitude 67 degrees East. The cyclone was likely to intensify further and move Northwestward in the next 24 hours.

The sea conditions along Sindh-Makran coast are likely to remain rough to very rough occasionally high associated with stormy winds from Monday afternoon to Friday. A maximum tide height is expected of between 3.5-4.5 metres. Fishermen were directed to avoided sea voyage.
