The Establishment Division has issued an official notification for appointments and transfers in the federal bureaucracy.
After assuming the office of prime minister, Shehbaz Sharif first ordered the appointment of his new secretary, Asad-ur-Rehan Gilani, a Grade 21 officer of the Pakistan Administrative Service. He has been appointed as the prime minister’s secretary (Principal Secretary). Earlier, Asad-ur-Rehan Gilani was the additional in-charge Power Division. He is an officer of the 24th Common.
Prior to this, he has held the positions of Additional Secretary in charge of the Ministry of Industries and Production, Secretary Board of Investment, while he also held the additional charge of NADRA chairman. He had worked as Additional Secretary in the Prime Minister’s Office.
Khurram Agha has been removed from the post of the current Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister and appointed as Federal Secretary Commerce.
Lieutenant General (Retd) Muhammad Chirag Haider has been appointed as the Secretary of the Ministry of Defense Production, Chirag Haider has been appointed on contract for 2 years and his appointment will be from 5th March 2024.
Secretariat Group Grade 20 Officer and Joint Secretary Ministry of Planning Khair Muhammad Kalwar has been transferred and his services have been entrusted to Sindh government.
