Asadullah Bhutto takes oaths as JI chief election commissioner

Following decision of Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) central Shura’s session held last month, Naib Ameer Asadullah Bhutto Advocate has been nominated for the post of intra-party chief election commissioner and an election commission was also established under his supervision for upcoming intra-party election.

In this connection, JI Ameer Senator Sirajul Haq administered oath to Asadullah Bhutto for his new post of JI chief election commissioner on Monday during a ceremony organised in JI headquarters Mansoora, Lahore.

The oath taking ceremony was attended by central, provincial leaders and JI activists. The occasion was attended by JI vice presidents including Hafiz Muhammad Idrees, Rashid Naseem, deputy secretary general Dr. Fareed Ahmed Paracha, Hafiz Sajid Anwar, Muhammad Asghar, Ameer JI Punjab Mian Maqsood Ahmed and Ameer JI Lahore Dr. Zikrullah Mujahid. Moreover, JI Shura also formed an election tribunal under chair of Bhutto in order to remove complaints in upcoming intra-party election.

While addressing the ceremony, Sirajul Haq said that eligible and honest leadership could only be emerged through a confident, transparent and impartial electoral system. He urged the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to immediately implementation of recommended electoral reformations.

Sirajul Haq demanded that only political parties should be permitted to take part in nation-wide election which organised a transparent election under supervision of proper intra-party election commission.
