ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Planning Asad Umar on Thursday hinted at imposing smart lock down on Eid-ul-Azha in case of surge in the coronavirus infections.
Addressing the swearing-in ceremony of the members of the National Youth Council, the federal minister said:”We do not want to impose restrictions on Eid nor will we go for nationwide lockdown.”
He said that coronavirus cases were increasing not only in Islamabad but in the entire country. He said that he would brief Prime Minister Imran Khan today on the growing number of cases in the country.
Asad Umar said that taking care of merit is the basic principle of PTI and federal units have been represented in the Youth Council.
