Islamabad: Minister for Planning Asad Umar has termed his party colleague Khurram Sher Zaman’s statement that the Sindh government was exaggerating the coronavirus figures as irresponsible.
Speaking on a Geo News program, the minister said that a heavy price is being paid for taking precautionery measures against the pandemic.
He said that safety equipment is handed over directly to medical superintendent of a hospital.
Patients who died on arrival at the hospitals are also tested for coronavirus, Umar added.
He said that our decisions are mostly based on reported deaths.
Khurram Sher Zaman’s statement in which he accused Sindh government of exaggerating coronavirus cases is irresponsible, Umar said.
Sindh has reported over 10,000 virus cases and 180 deaths so far.
