Arrested MQM workers admit connections with Indian RAW

KARACHI: Arrested Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) workers, Javaid alias Lamba and Junaid, admitted having party-level connections with Indian prime intelligence agency Research and Analysis Wing (RAW).

Police presented two high-profile terrorists affiliated with MQM before media where they admitted for having membership of the political party and got arms training by Indian RAW.

Arrested MQM terrorist Tahir Rehan alias Lamba in Ahsan Abad confessed before media that they usually flew towards Bangkok to escape arrest by the law enforcers after committing crimes. He said that the orders were given through Waqas Salim and Hammad Siddiqui while directions from London were being forwarded via Zulfiqar Haider and Nusrat Mirza.

He also revealed that Tariq Zaidi alias Sunny became bridge connection between the trainees and RAW in India where they provided training to operation various kinds of weapons including bomb making and using rocket launchers reportedly by a trainer Subedar Raam. He added that passports and immigration papers were taken by an Indian person while they landed in New Delhi.

Moreover, second terrorist Junaid admitted for his first-ever visit to India for arms’ training in 1999 where he met Tariq Zaidi alias Sunny, his elder brother Javaid alias Langra and younger sibling Naveed. He landed back in Pakistan after completion of weaponry training in 2004 and joined MQM in 2005. He claimed to become an eyewitness for 20-25 MQM workers got training camps of India.
