ISLAMABAD: Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) here on Wednesday said that Pakistan Army troops and helicopters have moved to site of the crash of PIA aircraft, carrying 40 passengers on board.
Commercial flight of PIA PK-661 from Chitral to Islamabad had lost its contact with the Control Tower of Civil Aviation Authority sometime in the afternoon, in the vicinity of Abbottabad in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
The PIA at 1707 hours made formal announcement whereby announcing missing of the aircraft.
Immediately after the incident the Pakistan Army moved troops and helicopters for the relief and rescue operation at the site of the incident.
