Lahore: Speaker Punjab Assembly Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi has said that the army is a neutral institution and it should not be involved in politics.
In his statement, he said that whenever a difficult time came to the country, the Pakistan Army played an active role.
Pervez Elahi said that the army and institutions have resolutely fought against internal and external terrorism, this is not a time for politics but for public service.
He said that the country is currently suffering from internal and external difficulties and all institutions including the Pakistan Army have given top priority to Pakistan’s security.
