APPSF rejects suggestion to close schools amid rise in virus cases

ISLAMABAD : The All Pakistan Private Schools Federation (APPSF) has rejected the suggestion to close schools in the wake of rising coronavirus cases in the country.

APPSF President Kashif Mirza said that government’s incompetency and political rallies were behind the rise in the coronavirus cases. Coronavirus pandemic has caused an irreparable academic loss to millions of students.

He urged the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) to take notice of illegal political gatherings. He claimed that the standards operating procedures (SOPS) were only being followed at the schools.

Kashif Mirza said that the political rallies were tantamount to ridiculing the government policy and the NCOC decisions.
