Apple event: Complete review of devices

WASHINGTON: American Technological giant Apple once again stunned everyone by introducing its two new iPhones along with biggest iPad ever the iPad Pro, an Apple Pencil and an upgrade for its smartwatches.

Apple kickoff its unveiling event at San Francisco by announcing upgraded devices such as its newest iPhone and smartwatches.

But the majority of the attention was captured by biggest iPad ever which is called iPad Pro. The device was rumoured for years and now finally made its debut.

The 12.9 inch gigantic device making its shortest edge the length of its earlier iPad Air 2’s height. It has a 2732 x 2048 resolution with 264 ppi.

Inside it’s using Apple’s new A9X processor, which Apple claims is 1.8 times faster than the previous chip it replaces and 80 times faster them portable PCs. It has an 8 megapixels iSight camera as well.

Apple says the iPad Pro will last 10 hours on battery with the ability to edit three streams of 4K video simultaneously. Apple has even added a four-speaker audio system to the iPad Pro, and iOS 9 will balance the sound dependent on how you’re holding the device.

The iPad Pro is just 6.9mm thin and 1.57 pounds.

It would be available in November and range from $799 to $1,079 (£520 to £702) depending on its level of storage and 4G connectivity.

Apple also introduces two accessories which can make the new iPad use easier are The Apple Pencil costs $99 and the keyboard $169.

The company didn’t disappointed its fans either with it new iPhones. Apple made a great work with the display of new smartphone by introducing a 3D force Touch display which allows you to press down on the iPhone’s screen to pull up new menus, activate shortcuts, and generally interact with the device in new ways.

Both Apple iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus have the same feature but come in different sizes. iPhone 6s has a 4.7 inch display while the other once comes in 5.5 inch option.

Apple is putting a 12-megapixel rear camera in the new iPhone. This is the first time that Apple has bumped its camera’s megapixel count since the iPhone 4S in 2011. The camera is capable of 4K video recording. The device also has trendy 5 megapixel selfie snapper as well.

The new iPhone will be available starting at $199 on a two-year contract, starting at 16GB of storage and going up to 64GB and 128GB for $100 more per tier. But most carriers are moving away from two-year contracts and over to payment plans now, so Apple is offering some of those, too. The 6S will be available for $27 per month.

The devices are powered by next generation 64-bit M9 chip.

Apple also announced an upgrade to its smartwatch operating system that will be released on 16 September.

Apple-Watch

Watch OS 2 will allow third-party apps to run natively on the device rather than relying on a linked smartphone’s processor.

n addition to loading faster, the apps will also gain the ability to play video and access the Watch’s microphone and sensors.

GoPro is taking advantage of this to allow users to see live streams from its action cameras on Apple’s wearable.

Facebook also revealed it is bringing its Messenger app to the platform.
