LAHORE: Jamaat e Islami (JI) Secretary General Liaquat Baloch has said that the political and democratic forces should not create an impression that they were patronizing unlawful activities and corruption. He was speaking at an Iftar dinner in Allama Iqbal Town area on Saturday.

Liaquat Baloch said that the anti state forces were out to destabilize the country and weaken the state. He said an Action Plan was worked out to weed out terrorism through national consensus. Besides, he said that the people of Karachi must be freed from the clutches of target killers, extortionists and land grabbers. He said that the national leadership must discharge its duty in this regard and a greater responsibility rested on the shoulders of former President Asif Ali Zardari.

He said that if some national institutions were going off the track , the issue could be discussed at a common forum. He deplored that the problem of load shedding had worsened after the Prime Minister’s announcement to cut it down.
