KOHAT: A campaign to immunize children against the crippling polio disease would start from March 15 in Kohat district.
Deputy Commissioner Kohat, Zahir Shah told media on Monday that saving each and every children from polio virus was our prime duty and for the purpose a comprehensive campaign would start on March 15.
He asked parents to get vaccinated their children below 5 year of age at all cost to save their future.
He said the four-day anti polio campaign would be carried out in all 33 Union Councils of the district and a target of 191,000 children below 5 years of age has been set for immunization.
He informed that 487 mobile teams would monitored the campaign and 63 fixed and 21 transit teams would also take part in this door-to-door campaign.
The cases of refusal of vaccination has been reduced to a great extent in the district, he said adding parents were now seemed eager to vaccinate their children against polio.
