ISLAMABAD: A three-day anti-polio drive will begin across the country on Monday (today) with a special focus on federally tribal administered areas (FATA) which will witness a four days anti-polio campaign.
Over six thousand mobile teams have been formed while tough security arrangements have been made to avoid any untoward incident.
Meanwhile, health officials have requested parents to cooperate with polio teams for the safe future of their children.
A three-day anti-polio campaign in 24 districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will begin from tomorrow.
During the campaign, more than fifty five hundred thousand children below the age of five years would be administered anti-polio drops.
The provincial health department has constituted fifteen thousand three hundred ninety eight mobile, fixed and transit teams for this purpose.
The government is giving sepcial attention to FATA which is going to observe a special four-day anti-polio drive also start from today.
More than nine lakh eighty thousand children would be administered anti-polio drops for which three thousand six hundred and ninety eight teams have been constituted.
Foolproof arrangements have been finalized for security of the polio teams.
