RAWALPINDI: Anti Dengue activities reviewed in a meeting held under the chairmanship of Punjab Minister for Labour & Manpower, Raja Ashfaq Sarwar here on Saturday.
Commissioner Rawalpindi Division Azmat Mehmood, DCO Talat Mehmood Gondal, MNA Raja Javed Ikhlas, Dr. Jamal Nasir, MPA Muhammad Hanif advocate, Sardar Nasim Khan, Zain-un Nisa and officers of government departments attended the meeting.
The Minister stressed the need for coordinated efforts to timely check the hot spots of dengue so that anti dengue measures could be made fruitful.
He said that dengue campaign is on for the last three years and all concerned are well aware about their professional responsibilities.
He said that though the quantity of larvae had so far been found during current indoor and outdoor surveillance is very low, but despite of this, dedicated efforts are required for full swing activities to detect larva sides.
He said that government had provided human resource, medical and technical support to curb dengue.
Commissioner Rawalpindi Azmat Mehmood made it clear to all stake holders that eradication of dengue is not the responsibility of any individual entity, it is joint responsibility of all government departments, local bodies and community to work together and ensure pre-emptive measures to address the issue without any delay and it can be made possible by performing entrusted tasks within fixed time lines.
