CHARSADDA/PESHAWAR: Awami National Party (ANP) have warned the federal government against changing the route of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, saying that such act would increase sense of deprivation among the Pakhtuns and Baloch.
Addressing party workers in Charssada on Wednesday, the ANP chief Asfandyar Wali Khan warned that if the tribal areas and Pakhtunkhwa were ignored in China-Pakistan Economic corridor project, the it could become another Kalabagh dam of Pakistan.
He said that economic corridor should benefit the whole country, adding that the federal government should avoid changes in the route of the economic corridor. He claimed that the federal government has changed the route, completely ignoring the tribal areas and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
He said that if such step was taken by the federal government, the sense of deprivation would increase among Pakhtuns and Balochs. He said that if raising voice for the rights of Balochs and Pakhtuns was treason, then he would continue this treason.
