NEW DELHI: Another Shaheen Bagh like sit-in protest has started in the city’s Jaffrabad area against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and National Register of Citizens (NRC).
About 500 women had been staging the sit-in on a road near the Jaffrabad metro station.
The protesters claimed that they would not leave the site till the withdrawal of CAA.
The protesters were carrying the Indian flags and chanting slogans ‘Aazadi’.
Meanwhile, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) had announced that the trains would not halt at the Jaffrabad metro station as the entry and exit of the station had been closed.
