KHARTOUM: After the United Arab Emirates (UAE), the African Arab country of Sudan has also expressed its intention to establish relations with Israel.
Speaking to media in Khartoum, Sudanese Foreign Ministry spokesman Haider Badawi Siddique said, “We want a peace agreement with Israel. These relations will be established in the interest of Sudan.”
A spokesman for the Sudanese Foreign Ministry said there was no denial of contact between the two countries’ officials, adding that a peace deal would be reached this year or early next year.
“There is no reason for us to continue to hate Israel. The agreement will benefit both Israel and Sudan,” he said.
