Another Isolation Center to be set up at PAF Museum: Murtaza Wahab

Karachi: The Sindh government has decided to establish an isolation center at the Pakistan Air Force Museum for the Covid-19 patients. 

Murtaza Wahab, the Sindh government spokesman in a message on Twitter said that initially Rs30 million had been issued for the construction of the isolation center.

The government had earlier spent Rs134 million on the construction of isolation center at the Expo Center, he added.

Wahab thanked the PAF on behalf of the Sindh government for providing place for the isolation center.

The number of infections has risen to 7,456 in Sindh while 130 people died from the pandemic.

Earlier, Asad Umar, the minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives had on Sunday said that the decision on easing the lockdown restrictions would be taken after May 9, taking all provinces onboard.

After the May-9 meeting of the National Coordination Committee, we will decide the future strategy, the federal minister told media here.

He said that any decision regarding easing the lockdown restrictions would be taken in a way that it does not harm the healthcare system of the country. We will gradually relax the restrictions, providing livelihood to masses.

The federal minister said that currently we have 1400 ventilators while 900 more would be available in two months.

He said that 35 Covid-19 patients are on ventilators in the country.
