Brother of renowned qawwal Amjad Sabri, Sarwat Sabri dismissed media reports about death threats, saying “he was a pious man, he didn’t receive any death threat.”
Talking to media, Sarwat Sabri said his brother’s assassination is a great loss to qawwali in Pakistan but his legacy will not die because the legacy is running from blood to blood.
He appealed to Chief of Army Staffs (COAS) General Raheel Sharif to arrest his brother’s assassinators.
It is pertinent to mention here that, Amjad Sabri was gunned down by unidentified men in Karachi around 4PM in Karachi at Liaquatabad.
