Senior batsmen of national team, Azhar Ali and Muhammad Hafeez, expressed their disapproval against inclusion of Mohammad Amir in the training camp by boycotting training camp organised for upcoming New Zealand tour.

Pakistan’s ODI skipper Azhar Ali and Muhammad Hafeez boycotted the training camp here on Thursday over presence of left-arm pacer Mohammad Amir who returned in the national camp after end of period of suspension over spot fixing.

According to reports, both batsmen in protesting mode rejected to participate in the training camp. It should be mentioned that 26 national players were included in the fitness and training camp. Moreover, former skipper Misbah-ul-Haq also expressed concerns over return of Mohammad Amir.

Reports said that the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has given task to Mushtaq Ahmed and other PCB officials to remove concerns of the national players but it visibly failed. Sources said that Azhar Ali and Muhammad Hafeez have not made PCB aware regarding their decision for absence from the training and fitness camp.
