LAHORE: Information Secretary of the Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan, Ameerul Azeem, on Wednesday strongly condemned the decision of the Facebook administration to delete the public pages of the JI Women Wing and the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) without assigning any reason.
In a statement, he said that banning the JI’s pages was gross violation of human rights.
He said that JI’s page was the second largest page among the political parties and as many as three million people had visited it and appreciated.
The JI Information Secretary said that the Face Book was under the influence of the Indian lobby due to which the ban had been imposed.
He demanded that the ban be lifted forthwith and the JI’s pages be restored, failing which the JI would be constrained to take the legal course
