KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain  and Chief Minister Sindh Qaim Ali Shah entered into an argument over a phone call as MQM supremo insisted that CM Sindh did not attend his call while Shah maintained that Hussain hung up on him.

In a statement released by MQM, it was claimed that party chief Altaf Hussain telephoned CM Sindh but Shah could not understand his words due to old age upon which Hussain called him from another phone but the call was attended by CM Sindh’s operator who expressed astonishment over his call and asked Hussain to wait till CM Sindh calls him back but the call never came.

The statement further said that Mr. Hussain then tried to telephone PPP co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari but the PPP leader did not attend his call.

MQM chief said that he is deeply saddened by this attitude at a time when MQM workers are being treated as war prisoners and Rangers with their behaviour have turned Sindh province into an occupied territory.

CM Sindh’s response

On the other hand, Qaim Ali Shah while claiming that he attended Hussain’s call leaving a meeting je was attending but MQM chief was too emotional in his speech and hung up on him.
