LAHORE: Son of National poet Allama Iqbal, Justice (retired) Javed Iqbal has passed away after long illness aged 90.
He was under treatment in Shaukat Khanum Memorial hospital Lahore.
Javid born in Sialkot on October 5, 1924 and began his carrier as an advocate in Lahore High Court, and later became a judge and Chief Justice of this court from 1982 to 1986.
He was also a judge of Supreme Court of Pakistan, and Elected member, Senate of Pakistan (Upper House of Parliament).
