KARACHI: Pakistan Medical Association General Secretary Dr Sajjad Qaiser on Tuesday said that public sector hospitals had reached saturation point after the Covid Delta variant touched an alarming level in Karachi.

“Situation is very serious as even some of the private hospitals were refusing the Covid patients,” he told a foreign wire service.

He added that the Allah have mercy on us as citizens are not taking new wave of Covid serious.

Dr Sajjad Qaiser feared that such an irresponsible behaviour by the people of Karachi on the Eid-ul-Azha may make matters worse.
