ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) officials will be placing a special check on pacer Mohammad Amir as his five ban ends in September.
At the time of ban end the pacer would be representing Rawalpindi Ramps in National Twenty-20 Cup held at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium from September 1 to 15.
The Qualifying round will be held from September 1 to 5, while the National T20 tournament will commence from September 8.
A Rawalpindi Region official said Amir, who was banned from International Cricket for a period of 5 years, is all set to make his comeback into International Cricket very soon as his ban ends in September this year.
“The PCB is keeping an eye on his performance and he is expected to get a ticket to international cricket very soon,” he said.
He said Amir will be representing Rawalpindi Rams in the National T20.
He stated that as many as sixteen teams would take part in the event.
