Alkhidmat offers free-of-cost oxygen cylinders to Covid patients

KARACHI: Owing to the gravity of the situation in connection with the fourth wave of Corona pandemic in Karachi, Alkhidmat has offered free-of-cost oxygen cylinders to the Covid patients in the city.

The largest non-governmental organization took the decision at a high-level meeting chaired by its Chief Executive Naveed Baig.

As per the latest arrangement, oxygen will be offered at Alkhidmat’s help desks across the city. Furthermore in this regard, two facilitation centers — one each at Liaquatabad area and Alkhidmat’s head office in Karachi — will be offering oxygen round-the-clock.

Naveed Ali Baig said that anyone with an original computerized national identity card and a doctor’s prescription can approach Alkhidmat for oxygen to support a corona patient.

He said that Alkhidmat has already been providing oxygen to corona patients since the start of the pandemic. Since then, he continued, thousands of people have been facilitated in this regard.

The Alkhidmat CEO also urged the philanthropists to support Alkhidmat in provision of oxygen cylinders and other services for the suffering humanity.

Expressing his severe concerns over the rise in Covid cases in the city, Baig also appealed the masses to follow the Covid standard operating procedures in letter and spirit to avoid any unbearable situation.
